Young America Clipper Ship

The Clipper Ship - Young America was built in 1853. With dimensions of 243'×43', she held 1961 tons of cargo, and sailed from New York to San Francisco (around Cape Horn) and to/from Europe until 1886.

The Marine Research Society journal of American Clipper Ships states: “For beautiful lines and handsome appearance she was not excelled by anything afloat”.
