Steven Zelac,  Senior Managing Director, Sector Lead - Industrials, Chemicals & Manufacturing 

Steven has 30+ years of experience leading growth, development and restructuring programs. Prior to joining Young America Capital Steven held a variety of leadership roles with four Fortune 500/1000 publicly traded companies including W.R. Grace & Co., Alcoa, DuPont and BrightView were he completed over 70 transactions of varying size with Total Enterprise Valuation in excess of $25 billion spanning a wide range of industries.  He is accomplished in strategy, M&A, portfolio management, restructuring, relationship management, post-acquisition integration, separations, capital structuring as well as organic growth and process improvement.  Steven received an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and BS in Accounting from the University of Delaware. While not practicing he is also a CPA and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with lean manufacturing experience.  He holds active FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.   


Vince Palmieri - Managing Director
 – Industrials, Chemicals & Manufacturing

Vince leverages over 20 years of mergers and acquisitions, private placement and financial restructuring experience in assisting public corporations, financial sponsors and family-owned businesses. Vince’s experience includes advising on cap raises, sales and purchases in the energy, auto and truck spaces. He has advised on acquisitions for over $300 million of M&A transactions and over $500 million of capital raises. He earned his BS at Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from New York University.  He holds active FINRA 7, 24, 51, 63, & 79 licenses. 


Mark A. 
Chlapowski, Executive Director - Industrials, Chemicals & Manufacturing
 

Mark has over 25+ years of experience in emerging markets.  A generalist, his experience includes advisory and funding solutions for governments, institutions and companies across numerous industries and geographies.  Mark was a core member of the BGN-First Boston advisory team, the decade-long #1 M&A advisor in Argentina, before establishing Cohen SBSA’s public market structured finance unit that achieved a #3 ranking.  He earned his BA at Georgetown University and his MBA with Beta Gamma Sigma honors from Columbia Business School. He holds active FINRA 63 & 79 licenses. Mark is bilingual English/Spanish and has working knowledge of Portuguese and some French. 

Omar Brown, Managing Director - Industrials, Chemicals & Manufacturing

Omar has 25+ years of experience in financial services as a senior manager at Merrill Lynch & Co, Bank of America, Cowen & Co, BTIG and RedTail Capital markets. He has managed debt and equity risk in management roles in the convertible bond and exchange traded funds businesses. Prior to Young America, Omar was an active advisor and investor (endowment and hedge fund) in the alternative investment space with transaction history in both equity and debt products across all major industry groups. Omar received his BS in Economics from Amherst College. FINRA licenses 7, 63, 24.


 Peter Formanek, CEO 

 
Peter has 30+ years of experience advising fund managers, family offices, and companies. He was a Financial Analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, and CFO and Business Development at Southern Cross Latin America Private Equity Funds. He has participated in a multitude of middle-market sell and buy-side transactions for numerous consumer product and service companies in the fields of CPG, business services, apparel, retailing, and e-commerce. He has advised both consumer-focused venture capital and private equity funds on their fund capital raise process. Peter received his BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from the University of Bridgeport and is a practicing CPA. FINRA licenses 7, 24, 28, 50, 52, 63, 79, and 99.
