Marc has spent over thirty years working on Wall Street as a corporate lawyer, investment banker and asset manager.
In those roles Marc has worked with hundreds of companies and capital providers from small entrepreneurial
businesses to Fortune 500 companies. His experience includes raising equity and debt in both the public and private
capital markets, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and corporate balance sheet restructurings.
Prior to joining Young America, Marc was a Managing Director for Avenue Capital group, one of the largest global
investors in corporate debt. At Avenue, Marc was responsible for all of Avenue’s investments in chemicals, materials,
paper, packaging, building and construction materials and energy sectors. In his roles he invested over $2 billion in
over 50 companies, managed acquisitions and divestitures, led corporate balance sheet restructuring and negotiated
bank refinancing and covenant waivers.
Prior to working at Avenue, Marc worked at Salomon Smith Barney and predecessor firms as an investment banker. At
Salomon, Marc represented industrial manufacturing businesses, building products and construction materials
companies and homebuilders. His experience included running mergers and acquisitions and equity and debt capital
Marc began his career practicing law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore where he represented large commercial financial
institutions in syndicated loans and structured finance projects. He received his BS in Industrial Engineering and JD
from the University of Miami.
